Default how do I change my hatch struts?searched

I got new ones. But I'm mechanically very stupid. I searched n all I found was for sale threads. I have an eg hatch.

thanks but tha tlink is to struts like shocks

im talkin about struts to keep my hatch open.

anyone?

You unbolt it from the glass, then from the car. Easy. Go at it with some wrenches and you'll have them replaced real fast.

Undo this nut using a wrench as illustrated above. This is the section attaced to the hatch.



On the section attached to the car use a flat head screwdriver and pop the plastic cap off to expose the the C clip. You can see the plastic cap off below the damper. Use your flat head to spin the c clip clock wise so that the open part of the C faces up. It should slide right off then you can slide the hatch damper off the pin. Then do the reverse to put your new dampers on

i have an eg ...thanks for the help but my panel seems to be in the way so like i dont know what to do its a pain.

i got it off the glass. but i cant get it off the car help pleasee!!!

that was such a pain

the bolts were halfway in the panel so i could barely get a rench in there cuz the ball joint was in the way then trying to turn it the steel or w/e was so weak it just stripped it as you tried to turn it..eventually i got them off ..my new autozone ones are amazing i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
