Default got the h22 tuned. is this right?

hey whats up guys. i recnetly swaped a h22 in my cb7. ive been on cb7tuner.com for a while. i recently got it dynoed and tuned. my question is how does this look for a stock internals with a cai, and 2 inch pipes, header, fuel pressure regulator and chipped p28. some one said that the vtec enagement point was to drastic. they also said that they retarted my timing and then when vtec kicked in they advanced the timing like crazy. let me know what you guys think.

Looks fine to me. The VTEC engagement point may need some moving around, but that's about it.

Yea it looks ok for what it is. Do you have Power Steering hooked in? And whats the header?

If you want the most power, go some sort of EMS like hondata, and get that baby tuned for your car.

its a cheap ebay header. just enough to get by right now. the jdm header doesnt mate with usdm down pipe so i had to get a cheap on right now. also im still using the stock down pipe and collecter from the f22a6.

Yea that power is fine. Get it retuned on a good header and you'll be making high 180s with PS, and 190ish with no PS.

an fpr and a chipped p28.

Hondata isn't really necessary for this guy....the guy that did the chip did a good job with it, all he needed to do was burn a chip for the ecu. AF looks like y0 momma's chest

I would say the torque looks a bit low, which explains the lower peak hp of course. It could probably be linked to the fact that you have a 2" exhaust. Open that thing up with a nicer header and a bigger exhaust.

Yea the AF isnt bad, im sure with some messing with the timing and the AF some more though, theres alot more left in her!

With a 2.5 inch exhaust and tuning given it is a strong motor, along with a good header i dont see why you couldnt come close to cracking 200whp and 16xtq.

lol. but yeah getting bigger pipes will help the flow of things a little better.

looks good!

I think the exhaust is whats holding your power back. I bet if you would put a 2.5inch or even 2.75inch with a good header you would make alot more power

power output is very comparable to both h22's i dynoed in my car with a cold air intake, jdm oem header and apexi dunk exhaust with a stock p13. looks good to me, and with a better header and exhaust im sur eyou can do better.

whats the biggest exhaust you guys would personaly go 2.5 or 3. im running cheap ebay header because the jdm wouldnt bolt up to the usdm down pipe. but im running the stock down pipe as well. (f22a6)

That tune looks pretty good for a generic "chip." You could lower the VTEC switch point to smooth out the torque curve, but it's already low enough that you won't be dropping out on shifts. If you hook up the IAB you could get a little more torque on the low end (below 4.5k), but you'd need to modify the ECU and get a "chip" that is set up right.

Add this to the H22 dyno thread!

Why does the crossover on the H22's always seem so aggressive?

I think it's because it should be lower for a smooth transition, but if Honda set it at 4k then there would be a lot of H22's cruising the highways in VTEC.

nah, everything looks extremely smooth, a/f is almost perfect, vtec engagment is a bit drastic, but like other people said, it looks good for a basically stock h22..

good luck in the future

and the main question should be: Do you like how it run's? thats all that matters, not other people...its your car.
