Default Correct tire sizes

For the most accurate reading on my speedometer, what would be the best tire size to run on civic si wheels? The car has a good drop on it as well.

Looking to get some azenis on them...

It depends on what kind of car the tires are going on. Care to tell us the year, model, and version of your car?

You can also use the tire calculators (see links in the FAQ for this forum) to compare the outer diameter of tire sizes to your stock tire size, to find the one that's closest in diameter.

Sorry, I forgot to ask you, which year Civic Si are the wheels from? The wheels had different diameters in different years.

The best sizes for your car are the ones shown in the FAQ topic stickied at the top of this forum:

What size tires should I get?

The proper size depends on your car, not just the wheels you are using. So if you want to ask what size you should get, let us know what kind of car you have!

For a CRX, del sol, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

13" - 175/70-13
14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
15" - 195/50-15
16" - 205/40-16, 195/45-16

<FONT SIZE="4">For an Integra or '97-00 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

14" - 185/65-14, 195/60-14
15" - 195/55-15, 205/50-15
16" - 205/45-16, 215/45-16
17" - 205/40/17
</FONT></TD></TR></TABLE>

Here is how much the diameter differs from stock for these sizes, so they throw off your speedometer by the same percentage:

195/55-15 (stock size)
185/65-14 (+0.1 percent)
195/60-14* (-1.0 percent)
205/50-15* (-1.6 percent)
205/45-16 (-0.8 percent)
215/45-16* (+0.7 percent)
205/40/17* (+0.1 percent)

*The Falken Azenis RT-615 is available in sizes marked with an asterisk.
