Default A6 dizzy options

I got a friend who's away from home and his ecu, dizzy and main relay all fried. He managed to find the ecu, not sure about the relay, but he can't find a used dizzy. New ones go for $350 (he's in Ottawa)

I searched and couldn't find a decent answer, so I thought I'd ask. What distributors will work in an 88 crx si? do think bolt right in? Are there any wires that have to be changes?

This seems like a problem that should have been answered a million times, so I apoligize, but I searched and couldn't find a decent answer. If anyone can help or post a link, thanks a lot

the only ones that work are from the 88-91 CRX Si, 88-91 CRX HF, 89-91 Civic Si and 90-91 Civic EX - they are all plug and play and bolt right on

My buddy's up in Ottawa, so I'm not sure what he'll do, but i'll pass on the option. He's staying with family so he does have a little time. thanks

How does your buddy know that his dizzy, main relay, and ECU are fried?

garageEF- Just bolted in, no wire modifications? I don't think he's opposed to doing changing something, as long as it isn't too much.

Tippyman- I asked him that. He said it all smelt like burnt electicals, so he figures that's got to it. Other than that, not too sure. I'm actually in Korea and he was telling me his problem, so I said I'd ask here about the dizzy to see if anyone knew a cheaper option. $350 sounds like a butthole rape but he's on the road and doesn't have any other options.

only the top leg lines up and the slot/hole has to be made bigger to advance the timing to spec. no wiring modifications are neccesary.
