timing belt wear in period?

Im currently changing my timing belt/water pump and i was wondering if id have to let it BREAK IN after its installed.or can i be hitting vtec etc?

The goal of the timing belt is to NOT stretch, so once you get it in and the timing is right you will be fine. Double check all your bolts too

You don't want it to wear and it doesn't need to be broken in.

so it would be safe to hit vtec after its just been installed?

yea...pretty much til the engine is warmed up that first startup after replacing the belt.
