Default which look better??

hey whats up, im thinking about changing out a few things.. this is the way my car looks like right (sorry for the camera phone pictures, they're kinda distorted and crappy)

VHT nightshades painted tail lights

eBay projector halo headlights

and this is what im thinking about doing, im horrible at photoshop, so bare with me.

im also debating if i should get white corner lights if i do get the OEM headlights, and maybe add some city lights, or if i should just stick with the OEM tail lights.

anyway, any comments welcomed.

thanks.

I think you should just stick with OEM headlights and tail lights.

OEM lights are the way to go man. All the aftermarket stuff will eventually either fade or crack or leak moisture. Like I said before though, shaved moldings kill any civic, kind of ruins anything you do to the car. Good luck with your decision though.

lights are already leaking, and cracking, so im definatly replacing those soon. i like the shaved moldings for somereason, but eh...

ill have to look for a pair of OEM tail lights.

btw, whats wrong with my paint job? everyone says i should repaint the car... is the dark grey to ricey, or does it just not match the body style? im thinking its the picture quality, because ive had a few compliments on the paint scheme, but maybe they were just being nice

The color looks fine, how the hood is painted is kind of eh..... The paint just isn't shiny to make the color look as good as it should.

Eg's are simple cars to begin with, to shave the moldings takes away the only body lines the car has. That is why I don't like it. The side skirts, side moldings, and door window trim are all paralel and that makes the body flow they way it does.

I'd say get the OEM stuff and go from there though. Check out this thread.

He has black housing OEM headlights and OEM taillights. Great seller, prices and wouldn't sell you junk.

Sometimes less is more, I think you are catching on.

Here's an example on my car.

With moldings that tie together my sideskirts, door window moldings, front lip, mirrors and black under section of my rear bumper.

No side moldings, just looks blah.

i rarely wash my car, i live in the country, and our drive way is made of dirt, so it'd get just as dirty as it was before i washed it as soon as i pull out of my drive way one time, but when i wash the car, it gets real shiny, and the black stripe stands out a bit more, which looks cool... those pictures are real distorted, and you cant see the colors all that well, but the paint does get freakishly shiny when i wash it

ill probably wash the car this sunday, and ill try and post up a pic if i remember.

I see what you're saying with being on a dirt driveway and stuff. Maybe you need to build you a fast truck?

Thanks man, they are 16x7.

I'd say just get the oem stuff from SHG_EasyE and go from there.

did he paint those OEM headlights him self? because theres an all import junkyard near here where i could probably pick up a pair of headlights for like 25 bucks and paint them myself.

i also found a old picture of the tail lights before i painted them... ill post it up just for ***** and giggles

It looks much better with the taillights the way they were. Do you have 4x114 ITR wheels?

yeah, were powder coated white with some crappy brown paint over them, so i sand blasted them down, and repainted them graphite with a semi-polished lip

i really like the red clear, but if i do get them, ill have to smoke them a little (a really light coat of VHT maybe) to help go with the dark grey color. i like the black housing headlights SHG_EasyE is sellin', so i might pick up a pair from a junkyard and paint them myself.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by WhiteSlipsWithStickers &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

i got mud in them... yes, they leak that bad
