My radio display finally went out on me. I know about the extended warranty, and the part has been ordered. What I would like to know is, will the new part fail, like the old one did? Or did they improve the part, so it will not happen again? I plan to ask the service manager, but am skeptical as to how believable the response will be.

 

It's improved. Haven't seen one of the pcb replacements fail yet.

 

Thanks, it's nice to get an honest answer. I keep my cars for at least 10 years, so I want everything to last. Any other things about the 03 EX V6 cars you think I should know about? I had the fuel pressure regulator replaced once (under warranty), it didn't do much for the starting problem, so I've learned to hold the key a little longer, and 99 out of 100 times it starts right up. No major problems, and I haven't spent a dime on repairs yet.

i would have the main fuel relay replace that might clear up the starting issue good lock i would think it would cost less than 100.00 good luck

 

Going on 6 months since replacing radio unit and so far no problems! :D
