what engine for 1983 civic
there isnt going to be an easily found motor for that car. ive got an 83 wagon and finding parts is hard enough. get on 1stgencivic.com. there are a few people what sport the second gen civics (like ours) that have put d series in them. there is also a link to 2nd gen civic on their website.
Screw you guys, I'm... going... home.

What's up with all of your stupid 1 word (or ZERO word!) posts lately?
Would one of you mods please look into it? Thanks.

Here's how I see it. Given that NONE of the more popular and worthwhile engines will swap easily into a 1983 Civic, it really does not matter too much what you drop in there. After all, everything from a D16A6 to a K20 is going to require LOTS of custom fabrication. The only difference you will notice as far as difficulty is going to be the phyical size of the drivetrain. Also, extensive modifications to the fuel system and electrical system will be required to run EFI. But in the end, it will be one HELL of a ride!
