hey Guys how is everyone doing today?...hope u have a happy thanks Giving day with ur family 2morrow...but yeah...i was was wondering...if u do an all motor Build of an Ls-V....how fast does it push in quarter mile....or other wise..does it depend on how u build it ?....if u have any tip on the fastest ls V can be push...Please help a brother out....what do i need...thanks =D
right now its Stock..thats why i want some advise from u fellows....

 

its hard to say how fast it will push a quarter. that depend on alot of things, cars weight, traction, gearing, reaction time, but building a reliable lsv is the thing to worry about. if you wanna go fast, its all about what kind of money you wanna spend on the motor. if you got the cash build the **** out of it. if not your best thing to do is up the compression and get a good cam. the cam controls the engines ability to breath. but you have to be careful. an overcamed motor will loose power. invest in arp rod bolts and head studs. the ls is designed to rev to 7k because if the high piston speeds. this in turn can streach stock rod bolts. plus get a good tune. thats what i would do

 

yeah thanks for the respond.....its an Ls in a Da....i was planning on getting a K20 but i change my mind....but i know some people built there motor differnt.....i jsut want to run about mid 12 or low 12....if possible i was thinking about dropping Turbo in it also....

 

if you wanna get in the 12's track bars, good tires, and a turbo might not be a bad idea. unless you wanna drop alot cash on engine internals for the lsv
