help, accord is smoking like crazy
92 accord, just changed the oil 1 hour ago, i took the valve cover off & BRAKE CLEANED
the valves & the camshaft, then poured 5w-30 over them & let it all drain out.
Did i mess-up my exhaust valves or something??

gasket is new. the smoke isnt blue, or black. white would prob sum it up.
someone told me to just run it & see what happens, u think i mess up the valves??

i'd venture to say the carb cleaner is just burning off. Drive it a bit and see what happens.
Also, remember, on cold starts you will get white smoke for a while as the water (condesation) burns

probably a bit of high spirted driving. Take it out on the road and up to redline, of course obey your laws and such. Carb cleaner usually burns white i believe.
i hope your right man. i have done that about 3 times. when i removed the valve cover today, there wasnt any oil in the valve cover by the valves. i put a little bit of oil on the valves again.
just dunno what to do? either it burns off, or i replace the seals

you may wanna try seaform lol. i don't see how carb cleaner could have done anything.. it might have eaten some seals though.
when you scrapped the gasket off none of it fell in right? also, check the adjustment.

i'd check the adjustment if you think its noisy. i could be wrong but im not sure if theres supposed to be oil in there after the cars off..
