I'm looking to purchase a testpipe, i have a 70mm exhaust (Invidia) should i stick with the 70mm and get that size as a test pipe? sugggested test pipe brands? anything you can give me, thanks
yes get a 70mm
however, please use it for dyno runs or on the track only....
don't pollute the environment w/ everyday use.....
also, if you get caught running one on the street, plan on paying a hefty fine.....

Boy are you sadly mistaken. It's actually a FEDERAL law that you can't tamper with emissions equipment (especially removing the cat). The fine is usually impounding of the car + (roughly) $2000. Now weather you get charged with tampering is a complete different issue from state to state.

Very true, if a shop is caught removing converters and installing test pipes or hollow pipes (tampering with emissions equipment), they're lookin at tens of thousands in fines and many charges.

yes it is ILLEGAL, but in some areas it is not inforced as heavily as it is in california and im sure virginia too since all virginia cops are ********.
i had a test pipe but i took it off, not because of emissions....just because everytime i went in reverse i rolled into the smoke and it smalled like ***

I never said it wasn't a federal law that makes it illegal smurf. I was only stating that in ohio, its just a improper equipment charge, which is like $75. Ohio did away with e-check, so the cops are wayyy more layed back on stuff like that now, that could in all honesty care less.
they are cracking down on ricers though like no other

not trying to be an **** but do you know why there's a law againist it in the first place? becuase allt he bad stuff coming out of the pipe is ruin the enviorment, which you, your mom and your son will be living in it.
for the .2589 torque gained at 8700rpm, lay off the pipe

Hondas burn relatively clean.
A few members of Honda-Tech having test pipes on their cars isn't going to make a noticable impact WHATSOEVER.
**** if every S2000 came test piped it still would barely make a difference.
If you want more power, why not do it? The environment is the worst reason ever to tell someone not to run a test pipe.
Honda-Tech hypocrits and idiots

some kinda dumb people, running a open cat on the street is very very dumb.
first, most cops won't check.. most cops don't give two *****... but one cop will,
he will check when he sees you have a exhaust... or just check regardless.
it's thousands of dollars out of your pocket so you can have a louder car that attracts more attention from cops and people that steal stereos
smart.

ive read somewhere and heard on a news interview that cats produce gases that are not even natural into the atmosphere. ive always had the thought of picking the lesser of two evils, unnatural gases or extra dirty exhaust. ive just went with the option that gave me more power. im from Michigan where they are lax on emissions as well.
