Default help, wath is going on with this engine???

ok i got a b18c1 with p7300 pistons, p72 rods and crank ligthen and balanced micropolish, about the head is a b16a2 with skunk2 springs, retainers and valves, ist ported and polish, skunk2 intake with 66mm t body port match,s2s2cams, and cam gears, hondata heat insulating gasket, aem short ram intake, dc sports 4-1 jdm header 60mm piping. it haves a stock pr3 ecu.ç

it was at 164 whp today we tunne it and it mades only 185whp and that was with a cold air intake, the dyno is a dynojet, but the numbers are kind of low.

ok otrher fact is that i live in bogota colombia de altitud is 2600mt about 8500ft the tunner said that the dyno have some device that corrects the atmosferics facts and that the numbers are with the car at the sea level.

opinions, recomendations

Not with a stock ECU. 185 is good, hope you did not hurt anything by no tuning and dynoing. A leak test is in order.

yeah but he's saying how long did u run it without tunning it, you may have damaged it like washing out the rings or detonating. how long did u run it like that. either way those are good #'s. a better exhaust and header will pick u up some more power. did he adjust the cam gears. humidity and altitude will affect a dyno from what i read along with tire size front end allignment and tire pressure. engine dyno's you can keep in a controled enviorment.

for a few km only.
so for you teh problem is the exhaust and header, about the cam gears he only use the exhaust one and 1/2 degree

why does everyone automatically expect to just get 200 hp like its so easy... wtf oh yeah this is HT and everyone in the all motor forum makes at least 200hp..

you have a mediocre header and small exhaust piping, put something better on and youll prolly get to were you want.

the question is does the car really seem slow to you though? if it was just as fast as it is now and someone handed you a sheet of paper that said 200 on it would you even make this post? is the motor healthy? not burning any oil, no blowby, good compression?

if its healthy and its fast dont worry about the number.

Its simple, he spent a few dollars and got a 21 whp increase, being a loyal H-T reader he expected 40. Stg2 cams and a mild P&P are always worth 40, right?

so you went from 164 to 185 whp after tuning with the haltech then?? did i read this right??

if it's a stock sleeved B18C motor, that's about right then. however, like everyone said, your piping needs to be bigger and you need a better header for that setup

one more thing, you need to get an aftermarket fuel pump (walbro 195 or 255 lph) and a fuel pressure regulator, if you don't have one yet you need these with those big cams you have in your motor.
