Hi everybody,
I'm looking out to purchase a pre-owned 98 Honda Civic EX (Couper 2D). When i did a check with the Firestone store mechanics, i got the following recomendations. Can anyone tell me how critical & important each one of them are ?

If someone can hint me about the cost it might take to replace those mentioned parts, that'l be very helpful.

1) WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT
2) HALF SHAFT (Front-Right)
3) WIPER BLADES (Front-Both)
4) BATTERY CORROSION PACKAGE

you were already at the shop, why didnt you ask them???

1. water pump moves the water and keeps the engine from over heating $35-70
2. half shaft connects the trasmission to the wheel and moves the car $65
3. wiper blades help you see in the rain $15
4. battery starts the engine $60-100

a shop will charge a lot to install the water pump and half shaft, they will over charge you to install the wipers, and the battery, well come on. try searching next time.

 

For the love of GOD do NOT let Firestone do your timing belt/waterpump job.
