Default Clutch arm movement/disengagement. Cable B16 (not an issue with cable adjustment) (searched)

So all the topics i found while searching were related to the clutch cable, which is not the case here.

Summary: B16A2 motor with JDM J1 cable tranny.

Here is my situation. Just put the transmission back together. (bearing replacement) It is in the car now. The clutch arm (what the cable is attached to) only travels about 2.5-3 inches up at the furthest point.

It is very easy to do so and has an abrupt stop. This, to me, means one of two things:

1: the pressure plate is just really easy to compress and disengage the clutch

or

2: my pressure plate is seized and will not compress to allow disengagement

Your thoughts please or, if you go take a look at your cable tranny and grab the arm and manually move it up, how far does it travel and how much effort does it take????

I have this same issue, where my clutch pedal is loose, i think my throw out bearing is not putting enough pressure on the pressureplate, so i can put my car in gear, has anyone solve this problem or am i the only one with this problem?

Are you running a miss match clutch setup.. I have seen this before.. The disk maybe too thick .. and its a clearance issue.. Or the disk may be too big .

If you are running a clutch "Kit" then IDK.

are we talking about a loose clutch pedal but does not slip?

i ran into this problem after doing a clutch job on a ae86.
turns out the flywheel either needs to be shimmed from it being surfaced too much or you just need a new flywheel.
