PnP HID Kit + TSX Projectors?
I am looking to do an HID projector set up for my 97 prelude. Could I get a PnP HID kit and use TSX projectors with that kit? Is that even possible? Im looking at:

for the HID kit.

I think I’ve seen some aftermarket D2S kits but the bubble in the bulb in the aftermarket kit wasn't in the same place as the OEM.

Aftermarket on the right, OEM on left.
Pic was from Hid planet user.
Focal point will be placed differently on the aftermarket bulb and will affect output.

a plug and pray ballast should be fine. I ran them for a while. even considering they go out after about a years use, they are still so much cheaper than oe ones that i still cant warrant buying them. (i picked up a new pnp ballast for like 35 on ebay, vs 200 for oe). the only reason i have oe quality ones now is that i got them used for very cheap. I would, however, stick to an oe bulb. The pnp ones sometimes have the globe slightly off, as pictured above. Even if the globe is only off by a mm or 2, it will drastically hurt your output. the projectors are designed for a VERY specific focal point, and anything off of that will start to go to sh**

For about the same price as a GOOD PNP kit, you could just buy OEM ballasts and bulbs. hidplanet.com/forums has a good for sale section. Other companies do sell OEM ballasts and bulbs separately, you can check around. Get a 'kit' that uses real OEM ballasts, connectors, and bulbs. It will cost more, but it will be much more reliable and a trouble free installation instead of trying to piece together a cheap PNP kit.

My Philips LVQ-212 ballasts came as part of my old HID kit almost exactly 5 years ago, and they're still going strong.
$280 for a pair of ballasts that will last well over 5 years is worth it IMHO. HID Planet is selling them right now for $280/pair.
