Default MY EG H/B k20A2 restoration project

Well I decided to pick up a 92 h/b off a buddy as its always been my favourite honda ive ever owned, and the gas bills are starting to drive me nuts with my truck(03 dodge ram 4.7L) driving back to work and back everyday(about 100kms,$600 a month in gas)
So i decided its time to get a cheap daily driver i can enjoy and isnt too bad on gas..
So here's my project i will update everything as i go, hopefully doing most of the all the work myself!

Colour im going, either grey or white.. Havent decided yet
Motor - k20a2, something different the ive had always had B16's

The car will be going down to my uncles best friends body shop for body work and paint. He will be doing the body work and i will be spraying the car myself in his booth, i work at toyota plant and hand spray all day(corolla, matrix, lexus rx350) so my paint skills are good haha just no body work experience
Heres how i started

Started ripping her apart today.. the carpet was soaking wet and stank like an old dog car was left out in a field with the window open

week one update... almost finished up the interior..

before i cleaned up the bay

after, whiped down and one quick spray, needs a few more coats

new back seats

new carpet goes in

gsr seats go in.. mint condition!

more updates later!

Slowly working away at her...

Cleaned up the wheel walls, sprayed it thick with rocker guard..
Put on the front ITR 5 bolt conversion, and D2 Coilovers

Fuel rails and lines installed

Custom 36mm axles

Cleaned up the wheel walls, and sprayed some thick rocker guard

JDM ITR Rims on

Rcrew header, amazing welds

Header installed with new oem gasket

Rear coilovers and new LCA installed

rear trailing arms/brakes/ss lines installed

stipped down the interior, removed the crappy sound deading material and sprayed some thick rocker guard down

Power washed the engine bay tonight..... found out i got water leaks from both sides of the engine bay into the cabin..... blah!

cleaned it up nice! Now its time to do some masking and get the spray gun out

this bad boy came today... 6 spd FTW!!!!

finally got around cleaning up my garage.. heres my setup
my parents are nice enough to give me room in the garage

Cars in the body shop .. so its parts update time...
brand new oem si lip

brand new oem windshield trim, and door window trim

brand new oem mudguards

Front clip i picked up

Jdm y0!

Almost ready for paint!!
Ran into a problem when they cut the rear 1/4s out to weld new ones on, the under 1/4s we're completly rotted out so they had to rebuild it up from scratch.

Put on the jdm front clip, fit like a glove... totally forgot that they had no rebar there, so had to get an aftermarket one on there.
Hopefully i will have it on the road a couple weeks!

Car is finally back from paint shop... put all the outside trim back on, still have to finish up some small things, still have to put the interior in.
Turned out pretty good.. I grabbed the colour code off the 08 Toyota Tundra

Well its winter time.. cars away... never drove it much in the summer ne ways haha..

So its time for a wire tuck/engine bay clean up.. wasnt happy with it the first time i did it.. so now im going to do it right..

Best thing since EVER

slowly working on the wiring harness..

to start

new braided sleeving

CRAZYIMPORT FTW!

been awhile!

pulled the motor tonight...
going to start cleaning up the motor/bay tomorrow

ugghh ugly disaster, brake line tuck/wire/ bay spray to match body

worked on it a couple hours tonight, started cleaning up pretty nice. Using the brush wheel on it

finished with the engine clean up ...
now working on the wiring harness on the motor

started on the bay clean up last night and worked on it a bit today

removed some of the seam sealer also

worked on the firewall today

my boy kevin helping me out

my good friend

all the filler done, nice and smooth now ready for primer

almost done prepping the bay....
good old garbage bags!! to cheap to buy plastic lol

first 2 coats of primer today, next step sand it down with 600 grit smooth it out as much as possible and then its time for base coat

Final primer stages, bit thicker primer to fill small scratches

remember.. PREP is EVERYTHING

Engine bay finished finally!
Sprayed 2 coats of single stage tonight

Toyota paint quality FTW!

Getting ready to wet sand some stuff out soon as it dries

Just finishing up the wiring harness for the tuck
injectors done

FINALLY back in!

can't wait till its done and i'll use a good camera to take pics, not my shitty iPhone lol

Dash back out, finishing up the tuck

Hybrid tucked fuel lines/rail installed

been ALONG time since a update!!

Finally got around to doing some work on it, been waiting about 3 months for fittings from fu(k%ng Earls and ive still only gotten about 1/2 of them :@

Well heres how the brake tuck looks so far

Thanks to nickolas pickolas for tuning her tonight

Went in at 183whp
Finished at 209whp

So to sum things up here's what she went from to
