CALLING OUT!!! 98B18C1 from San Jose
I was looking for some injectors for my turbo car. I came by 98B18C1 post on August of 2007 about Precision 580cc SATURATED Injectors for $200... that sounds what i was looking for. So i proceed and decided to meet him up at Denny's. I made sure i asked him in PM and in person if they were saturated. Injectors looks good and i bought it.
3 months later in a zip loc bag. It was about time to get my car running. Then, I realize that i was only runing 3 cylinders because of 1 fouled injector. so i talked to him.
(5:25 PM 11/9/2007) ELABR8: hey, i dont know if you remember me but i bought a set of injectors from you 580cc when we met up at denny's and i just recently put on my car. then i realize i was running 3 cylinders and the 4th one didnt fire because of the injector so i am wondering what can u do about this on this situation
(11:07 AM 11/11/2007) ELABR8: so sup?
(11:11 AM 11/11/2007) 98B18C1: so how long has this been? wen i sold it to you i took it straight off my running car before i met up with you and it was still dripping fuel...theres nothing i can do about it because its been so long
(11:12 AM 11/11/2007) ELABR8: it doesnt matter how long has it been you sold me a foul injector
(11:13 AM 11/11/2007) 98B18C1: i didnt sell you a foul injector 100% guaranteed...how would i know wat you have done to it since the time i have sold it to you
(11:16 AM 11/11/2007) ELABR8: well theres nothin that could happen the injector still pulses its just that it sounds like it is clogged and nothin i can do that would cause a clogged injector
(11:19 AM 11/11/2007) ELABR8: i am getting this injectors flow rated if these injectors are not repairable you will be hearing from me again
(11:24 AM 11/11/2007) 98B18C1: good luck to you...even if you came back to me theres really nothing i can do for you because i know for sure i did not sell you faulty injectors as i have people on here that can vouch my car was running perfectly fine when i took em off...
So i sent the injectors to get it flow-rated and cleaned to see if that would so anything. and my results are
SJersey: We got your injectors today. Thanks
We are having quite a bit of trouble with these. Upon arrival, they were 77% out of balance and are not taking to the cleaning very well. They will be retested and given a longer ultrasonic bath tomorrow along with some dynamic flow tests to try to figure out what is going on internally. These Rochester injectors are prone to failure and we see it all the time. The only thing that leads me to believe we can get them back is the coils are in good shape as they are ohming out just fine. This is usually the dead giveaway on these, but yours seem fine??? More tests and cleaning will be completed tomorrow. Hopefully with better results than today.
BTW, they are LOW. (low impedance = peak and hold)
GREAT!! these are not saturated like he said it was. I just realize that Precision doesn't sell 580cc saturated so i contacted 98B18C1 again
ELABR8 (6:22 PM 11/20/2007): so you told me the injectors you sold me are saturated and it turns out to be peak and hold so i am asking for my refund because u sold me something that is false and the results for the injector are 77% out of balance
ELABR8 (6:23 PM 11/20/2007): i asked you twice also pming you and in person if they were saturated
98B18C1 (6:36 PM 11/20/2007): they are saturated as i ran it in my car without a resistor box so i dunno wat the heck you are talking about...if it was peak and hold i wouldnt have worked and i wouldnt have been able to tune it
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1419494
580cc are SATURATED!!!
ELABR8 (6:49 PM 11/20/2007): they dont sell injectors that are 580cc saturated
ELABR8 (6:49 PM 11/20/2007): you never sed these are lucas you sed these are precision
ELABR8 (6:57 PM 11/20/2007): the car runs but it runs like ****!!
CLIFF NOTES!!
-9818c1 sold me injectors saying it was 580cc saturated
-turns out 1 of the injector is fouled and 77% out of balance
-the injectors are peak and hold instead of saturated as stated
NOW IM JUST ASKING FOR MY REFUND $200 and keep the injectors!!!! so i can buy new ones.

I've seen something similar happen here, but it was with a transmission. Some guy sold another guy a transmission, but he didn't put it on until months later. When he put it on, he found out that it was fucked. He went to the guy and told him he wanted a refund, but the guy said no, because it has been months and who knows if he did anything to the transmission throughout the course of the months that passed by. So you were also wrong on your part.
Good luck with this issue.
Good luck with this issue.
yea i could be wrong for not putting it in for 3 months but i want my refund because he told me it was saturated when its not. I know no one know what couldve happen to the injectors but thats not the case now. but thanks for your insight

if it wasnt saturated then how the hell did i run them in my car without a resistor box and get it dynoed at blacktrax and go to the track with it...people in the san jose area can vouch for me 100% that my **** was running strong without any problems or complications...i went to the track beginning of july with pics and clips to prove...dont try to come back to me 4 months later and say that i sold you shitty *** stuff...i aint shady like that bro...ask everyone who ive dealt with on here and tell me what they say...

now how do i know if you ran with the box or not? like i offer in the pms
ELABR8 (7:48 PM 11/20/2007): ok lets go to redzone and have them tell me if they are saturated or not
ELABR8 (7:50 PM 11/20/2007): and if they are not saturated you owe me a refund and if they are then i owe an apology and pay for your gas
98B18C1 (7:53 PM 11/20/2007): you can go on ahead and ask them urself for all i care as i just gave you that link to show you that the injectors are SATURATED and tell me that the injectors i sold you doesnt look like wat was pictured on phil's thread...
ELABR8 (7:54 PM 11/20/2007): you did not buy it from there
ELABR8 (7:55 PM 11/20/2007): so how are you going to tell me see if your that confidence then y wont you go redzone with me

you can say all that cause u aint involved in the situation...if u sold someone a perfectly running turbo off your car and they blew it a month or so after and said it was blown wen they barely slapped it on and they come back to you wanting a refund...wat would you do and wat would u say? would u really give them a refund if they were the ones who fucked it up?

aight everything was fine and dandy wen i pumped gas and went home...10 minutes later i hop into the car to go to work and car sputters like crazy...i have a built turbo gsr with aem fuel rail, SX fpr and precision 580cc injectors...wen i looked at the gauge it says it was at 60psi...i tried adjusting it down but it wouldnt move even after the screw on the fpr was all the way up...i thought it was the fpr so i changed it out for a brand new venom one i had sitting in my room..still does the same thing...changed out the injectors with injectors from my bros car...still the same...now im stumped...is the injectors clips not working? is it not opening up the injectors? ecu problems? im clueless right now so any help will b appreciated...THANKS in advance

6:19 AM 11/21/2007) ELABR8: off a running car huh https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2052953
(6:52 AM 11/21/2007) 98B18C1: yes it was off a running car (the car that was stated) as i found out that the pump caused the fuel line to rip since the outlet of the fuel pump was on the opposite side (pump was for 90-93 integra) changed it out and that fixed the problem...as you can see in my post i swapped injectors with my bros turbo EG and it still did the same thing...
check out my history and tell me that it doesnt make any sense...if you read the post CLEARLY like everyone would do then u would see that i swapped out injectors with my bros turbo LS EG and it still did the same thing...you talkin about doing ur research but yet ur research aint got no conclusions

wells nevertheless you stated that its saturated and i am here asking for a refund if REDZONE confirm the injectors are peak and hold but you seem to be not helpful at all and avoiding my question... WILL YOU GIVE ME A REFUND IF REDZONE CONFIRMED THAT THESE INJECTORS ARE PEAK AND HOLD/LOW IMPEDANCE?

yea i was totally unware that precision didnt carry those until after and he told me he ran with those injectors without the resister box. would it damage the injector if you run peak and hold with out resister box?
Yeah they could cause damage. It will burn up the transistors that put out the pulses for the injectors to open, due to the fact that there are no resistors to limit the amount of current draw through them. It could either stay stuck open or closed. or even a burnt ecu .
The damage might have been done when you used them without the resistor box.
