my friend who also has a prelude bought the headers and the cat for his 5th gen, which is not really a cat is just a pipe, when he was testing the car after instalation he redlined the car and when he shifts the muffler throws a spark and makes a explosive sound is this normal? he is thinking on putting the factory back. but before we want to knw what you guys think since this is the first time we do this!

 

naw ur fine my does that too when i shift gears at high RPM's its just he doesnt have a cat converter thats why its straight pipe. Also bad for environment.

 

so its not going to mess up the engine or something? and about the enviroment, thats true., he might think about putting the converter back. thanks!

 

that's what happens when you got no cat. and no it wont mess w/ your engine, strictly emissions related.

 

get a high flow cat, that should be the happy medium between test pipe and power restricting cat
