Default cat converter?

hey along with my 4th gen I got a 5th gen accord a 96 my ? is I need to smog it and I need to get a cat converter but they cost 300 in cali so I was just wondering if I can get a regular high flow one since they dont make one for obd2 and right after the cat get a nut welded on to a hole and screw in the o2 sensor will this work or no thanx for the help

On paper, everything seems to be ok, as long as its not one of those resonator bullshit catalytic converters and as long as no CEL comes on. Other than that everything is there I guess. BTW 300$ is not expensive at all for a cat.

i paid 90 snaps for a high flow cat for my 4thy gen accord so how is 300 cheap
