carbon fiber hood
hey guys I got a carbon fiber hood from a friend today for $100....its in good shape but looks a little worn.....whats the best ways to make it look sharp again...i figured for $100 a good carbon fiber hood with a little wear isnt bad....just want to make it look a lil better...thanks much...i never had anything carbon fiber so I dont know the upkeep on it
i dont have a buffer.....I'm look for something in a bottle that I can buy thatll clean it up a bit....im at school so most of my stuff is at home 3 hours away

Peanut butter removes all the oxidation. I **** you not, it works like a champ.
Did it to a friends and put 7 coats of duplicolor clear coat on it and it has yet to fade. It's been glossy black for almost a year now.

Peanutbutter DOES work.Another option would be to do wetsanding with some very fine grit paper (1000+) and then some polishing/wax based compound to buff it out and shine it.
