hey guys I got a carbon fiber hood from a friend today for $100....its in good shape but looks a little worn.....whats the best ways to make it look sharp again...i figured for $100 a good carbon fiber hood with a little wear isnt bad....just want to make it look a lil better...thanks much...i never had anything carbon fiber so I dont know the upkeep on it

i dont have a buffer.....I'm look for something in a bottle that I can buy thatll clean it up a bit....im at school so most of my stuff is at home 3 hours away

Peanut butter removes all the oxidation. I **** you not, it works like a champ.

Did it to a friends and put 7 coats of duplicolor clear coat on it and it has yet to fade. It's been glossy black for almost a year now.

Just spread it on with a rubber mixer and rub it in. Then wipe off with a rag and a lot of pressure.

Peanutbutter DOES work.
Another option would be to do wetsanding with some very fine grit paper (1000+) and then some polishing/wax based compound to buff it out and shine it.

And you can lick it off when your done

you dont even have to clear it

the peanut butter also leaves a greasy coat =P

all you ahve to worry about now is smooth or chunky
