Default Where to hide brain of an alarm in a teg?

im trying to find a good place....

Under seats
Under ECU
Under floor panels on both drivers and passengers sides
Under side paneling of the back seats
Under back seats
Under paneling in the trunk
Take the whole dash apart (and pray to god you get it back together) and find some space in there (is there any???)
buy a cheap decent size amp that fits under pass seat, take out internals, mount brain in it (but how do you run wiring, will be hard to hide).

any more ideas, comments about the ones i got now...anything...?

if you got any more ideas, tell me...

lol i like the amp idea, if you wanna run the wires cut into the carpet and run it through the existing door channels.

the only thing I don't like about the amp idea is that most people that break into cars to steal amps/stereo.. are just after car audio equipment.. they want to get in and get out as quick as possible .. and not take the car... if they think your fake amp is an amp.. a stereo theif might rip out your alarm thinking its an amp... and leave your car disabled... so you come back w/ a stolen amp, head unit, speakers.. whatever else.. but also a disabled car w/ the wireless immobilizer..

now a car theif who is looking to take the whole car and strip it later might not think to look at the amps/wiring... and overlook that the brain might be there..

so theres a positive and negative to this idea... anyway since it pertains to security.. the security of your car I didn't think the wiring routes/suggestions should be public.. I PM'd you.. good luck on your install..

will a car theif continue at his attempt to steal the amp with the in cabin alarm blaring, lights flashing, and whole 9 yards? if its under the seat would it still be noticible?

who has an amp under their seat?

easy...when the alarm is cut and not blaring he might screw around. Never assume that your stuff is safe cause alarm is blaring, it might not even go off, or be cut/disabled before the theif even opens the door.

-Rage who just moved his amp from under the seat but not for security reasons.

usually they check the trunk for audio **** first anyways.

most people either put their audio stuff in the trunk behind the seats, on some sort of custom amp rack/custom setup w/ their subs... or under the seat.. a stereo theif will look in these places if they know you have car audio (ie.. see you rollin around bumpin you ish while driving)... or if they just have a hunch you do.. they'd check there for stereo or other valuables (subs, changer, something u bought that u kept int he trunk, etc..) but yeah they would look there... and w/ the alarm blaring they could either cut the alarm wires unless u have a hood lock.. or maybe they have a look out/get away driver so they don't care and just go at it to steal ur stuff....

don't think cuz u have a nice alarm that theives aren't going to want your car... it might scare away the amateurs.. but the pro theives or the ones who don't care and just want ur stuff will still try to break in...

as for amps.. I had an interesting experience w/ a drunk girl spilling her drink.. then throwing up in my car (thank god for baking soda and carpet cleaners).. lets just say I have new amps now... had quite a light (more so spark) show.. then drove the rest of the way home w/o sound/stereo.. and I'm NEVER putting amps under my seats (or I should say never giving drunk ppl rides home) again EVER again!!!

Under the clock. Go thru the guage cluster cover. 2 screws you'll see when you take it apart.
