Default 02 RSX wont burnout

friends 02 RSX k20 wont burn out, he says has no torque, but i seen it, and i dont think its that, do those cars come with traction control?? if yes, how can that be disabled or taken off? when he tries to burn out, he red lines it, lets go cluth, tires squelch and then thats it, he takes off no burn out

does he know how to burnout is the question. Our cars don't have traction control.

well, he redlines it, pops out the clutch...tires just squelch a lil, rpm goes all the way down and takes off slowly, once high rpm, car runs pretty damn fast...well, if those cars have no traction control...then can he be right, no torque..(he running stock tires as well)

maybe the tires are bomb *** tires and are used for mad grippage thus burning out would not be allowed.jk...push the clutch down, rev to three and a half and keep it steady there, let the clutch out semi fast and gas it. why do you want to burn out anyway? does he want his parents to buy him new tires that bad?

WTF? Tell your friend to quit abusing his car. Also, sounds like a clutch problem.

Wonder why????

car has plenty of torque to burnout. If he doesn't know how to burnout that's a different story. where does he launch at? is he trying to burnout at the track or is he just doing it for fun on the street? I'm assuming he can't burnout at the track? If he's talking about the burning out for fun then.. forget it.

The dude redlines it then side-steps the clutch, sounds like.

FWD burnouts are pointless anyways. Tell your buddy to stick with hard-parking.

they aren't pointless if you are at a 1/4 mile drag strip but are for anything else.

LMAO.. hard parking.

If you have drag slicks they serve a purpose, but if you are on true street tires then a burnout is sorta pointless--even when running the 1/4.

Even then--the car is a open-diff. That tire you just lit up may or may not decide to grip.

From the background info the OP gave:

I can get my EP3 with bolt ons to burn out all the way through 2nd gear (did it ONCE!).

He should be able to get it going. But I wouldn't wanna burn out anyway...
