Euro Hatch.
You can probably order a euro tailgate panel from Password JDM - though I hate sending them business - or through one of their affiliates. You'd have to have the entire tailgate piece, the license plate holder piece and the lights that plug into it (I'm not sure if they're the same as the USDM models or not). If password is of no help, you might have to look up a dealer across the pond, which would be incredibly expensive.
Ignore these retards who can't help but run their mouths when they don't know the answer to a question. What you like is your opinion, and when people who are married to the safe majority see something that isn't on their list of acceptable mods, they feel the need to hate. **** 'em.

So you're suggesting he spend $$$$ on a "mod" that he will get no use out of? How will he mount his US license plate onto this? The only thing I was doing was asking pertinent questions so he doesn't waste his money. What if he wanted to put Lambo wheels on his Civic? I guess it's what he likes, so I'd be a "retard" if I swayed him away from it?

Unless you've got something to light up the US plate in your window, you will get pulled over. It needs to be visible up to 200 ft (or something like that).

i think its a nice cosmetic upgrade. help u get a few more points at a car show... i like the way it looks ... as for getting pulled over for no lights on it u can also get pulled over for having an aftermarket exahust but are you straying away and keeping your whole car stock??
There's a slight thing that I'm surprised none of you have noticed....

Want to let us all know where you're going to put that plate filler? It's not a replaceable part, the entire tailgate needs to be replaced.

good point on the unlit plate. not too practical.</TD></TR></TABLE>
So this went from probably a $100 mod (after customs and shipping) to about a $700 mod (after customs and shipping and paint).

it'd definitely be something different.
expensive but different. id say if you've got more money then you kno what to do with then work out the minor details and get it

these different opinions and styles is what helps make the industry/scene find new trends.
can you believe the day some guy rolled up to a car show in 1999 with just a simple lip kit?!
omg!

I keep telling everyone that EDM is where it's at .... but nobody listens to me. At least on a 6th gen, you use the same plate garnish.

im saying its a cool unique mod as far as the US is concerned. i think a us plate might fit the euro garnish. looks like the height might be the same. just wider for the euro.

It'd be a really really tight fit, and you'd have to find another way than the stock holes to secure a USDM plate to that garnish.
US Plate (california) vs. UK Plate:

Just trim the us plate down or is there a law about that too??
