jdm gsr block. was bought from ana trade with aprox 30,000 miles:
bnib jdm type r pistons , rings and wristpins
acl race main and rod bearings
arp gsr headstuds
honed block
cometic headgasket
unorthodox crank pulley
polished and balanced crank
gsr head:
ctr cams bnib
skunk 2 adj cam gears
toda valvesprings and retainers
skunk 2 intake manifold hondata gasket
type r tb
aem fuel and fpr
rc310's
gsr trans w/lsd
act 6puck unsprung
itr or aftermarket flywheel (havent decided yet)
jdm 4-1 header
will be tuned on hondata s200 or s300
in a 94 eg hatch.w/ntake ,exhaust blah blah blah

Its a good thread read it and your questions will be answered

Since you're building a more or less stock version of an ITR motor, why would you want to know it's compression, hp/tq numbers or eta's when you could simply look at what a stock ITR puts out and go from there? If you want to know how your car will run with an ITR engine in it, simply search for one with that swap on here and see

mayb a ctr motor
but if i recall my compression will be more than itr motor
and the list as stated aint all oem parts
theres alot of parts that give performance more than oem itr parts
plus its going to be tuned
so that right there aint going to give me stock itr numbers
my buddy got a stock jdmb16a in his ef i/h/e and good tune to make almost 30 more hp to the wheels. just with a tune on hondata
any other opinions?
how about an omni valve train? any opinions on me changing and using different parts

From this list here, all you're going to end up with is a JDM type R short block. There's nothing listed that will give you any more power than a stock block.

CTR/ITR cams will give an ITR short block ITR performance/power levels. Cam gears may give you a couple more hp over stock but that's it. None of the valve train will you listed will have any effect on power. Skunk2 intake manifold = type R copy so again no additional power to be found here over stock ITR. Hondata gasket probably won't really give you much in the way of measurable gains. Type R throttle body will give you Type R performance (0 gains). The fuel system upgrades are not needed and will do nothing to increase power.

if the header is ITR replica, again no power to be had over stock JDM ITR. Even if it's a DC, it's only a few hp. Tuning and bolt ons should help power but again, power should be no different than a tuned JDM ITR with bolt on's in the end....

CTR motor = 1.6L, you have a 1.8L with ITR pistons...that = ITR motor. GSR head might bump it up by .2 ...negligible difference.
ITR pistons in GSR/ITR block = ITR compression ratio...
Am I missing something or are you thinking you are building more of an engine than you actually are?

good proven points.
and no actually i kno what im building. an almost all oem motor or itr mock up motor and just trying to get some good hp numbers out of it with a good tune.
its going to be a nice cruisin car that could be quick on the streets and unexpected and putin down reasonable times at the track.
what do you recomend then?
port and polish?
valve jobs?
any crank work?
that is why i posted it! opinions!!!!!
any different head work or parts i should do/change?

00 EM1, B18c5, 11.5:1, 2 layer head gasket, head planed .030", Max Bore 65mm TB, RM M22x cams SL springs and retainers, Skunk2 IM, Toda cam gears, RC 310's, AEM 3" CAI, SMSP 4-2-1, Hi flow cat, T1R 2.5" cat-back, Hondata S200, NX-wet kit 75hp, 9lb flywheel, MSD cap/external coil/plug wires.
the only thing i see different is the tb/ different choice of cams/valve train.
we both have cam gears, rc's, cold air intake
different header
both have hi flow cats and 2.5 inch exhaust
both tuned on hondata
im run n/a so no nitrous
im getting a flywheel
and an ignition is getting picked up after christmas
so what does your car make off nitrous?
round about of mine would be close. also considering my car is a good amount lighter.

This is just one example of a thread that you might find relevant to what you are wanting to do. It is also just one example of why people will tell you to search before asking so many basic questions because the answers are not that hard to find if people take the time to look.
