a while back i bought a Skunk2 test pipe for my CRX off of eBay. when i received it the package said it was for a "96-00 Civc 2dr./4dr." part no. 414-05-0020 i emailed the seller and he assured me that it was interchangeable. out of the box it looks to be 1/2" or so too long. will it work in my stock CRX? i just want to know before i break the seal on the plastic.

street, but there is no emissions testing where i live.

 

any help here? i'd rather not rip the plastic bag open only to find that the test pipe won't work.

 

i used one of those very same test pipes....and it is indeed a little too long....(could be because of how long my downpipe is) either way, i didnt modify it at all...i just utilized the fact that the exhaust is all rubber mounted....theres some give there...i bolted it up and the top bolt hole on the back side of the test pipe didnt wanna line up at first, but i put a punch through to get it straight and ran a bolt in and bam...off i go....makes the car considerably louder w/ my engine (dohc zc) but i noticed a slight difference on my "two cheek dyno"
