K24/K20 head problems

Default K24/K20 head problems

so i placed together bits and pieces to a K24 block
And a K20 head
Heres the problem
it bogs out hittin around 5200-5500rpms
i checked everything as in the fuel and computer
anyother ideas

list every part you used................its like saying i built a custom engine.....its not working any ideas.......you dont know what the expletive is going on

i had a few problems with my first k24/k20 build too but i figured em out

This is the 92-00 Civic forum.

Seeing as a K20 nor K24 was a 92-00 Civic motor - I have no idea why you found it the correct COA to post in here.

Post in the hybrid forum or ask k20a.org since that's all they deal with.

anyways since he's gone he's probably running lean up there......probably running an untuned basemap or an integra-r ecu

not a good idea........he couldve also messed up on wiring the crank angle sensor since they need modification to on these swaps. it also could be in limp mode. by the way the guy asked the question he is not very knowledgable in the k series engines, leads me to belive no he does not have a k series car or someone else did it for him........since he couldnt even produce a parts list wihich is essential to diagnosing a problem in a car hot rodded at this level

I agree, if he does have a K swap (which it doesn't sound like), it sounds like he's just running some basemap crap ECU and he's leaning out like a ****. Do the words "K-Pro" and "tune" mean anything to you (OP)??
