Replace clutch still slipping?
I just replace my clutch two days ago and now the symptoms of slipping occurs. The guy said i had a leaking master cylinder. Can this leak cause my clutch to slip. Also how much would it cost to fix this master cyclinder.
fill your clutch resorvoiu up then pump your clutch till you feel it starting to build perssure...keep your resovouir full and this should keep you from having it slip...look undeneith the steering colum..pul back the carpet. Loo upwards to the right and you should see stains from leaking brake fluid....80 bucks new takes a hour to do if yoou have small hands..I don't know if there's a do it how..and I had a friend do mine because I do not have small hands...hope this helps
I don't know how a leaking master cylinder can cause the clutch to slip. Look for other problems.
Leaking MC can make the carpeting wet with brake fluid, or even leak down the firewall. That's not very close to the clutch, so I don't know...
Leaking rear main seal or leaking tranny shaft seal might get some oil onto the actual clutch. ??
