Default 15x6 drag radial size

I've come to a decision of purchasing an extra pair or rims(Si stocks or Fat Fives) to mount some BFG g-Force Drag Radials for track use. I was looking at 205/50's but was wondering if I could fit any wider of a tire on the rims, maybe a 215? Please if some knows the answer, Thank you.

Also, on a little side note, what kind of range of psi should I be looking into running the drag radials at. I know there is no definete answer as if varies by car/set-up, but if there is like a max psi on the tires like on street tires that I should stay away from? Maybe something like maybe 10-20 psi, just so I have a starting point of where to begin playing around with which psi works best for my application.

They don't make 215's for 15" rims. So you would have to get 205/50-15 or 225/50-15. Both are approved by BFG for mounting on 15x6 rims. I would get the 205/50-15 because the 225 is going to make your car accelerate slower in each gear (like getting taller gears). The one exception to that is if the 225 enabled you to avoid an extra shift at the end of the 1/4 mile it could help your times.

I don't know the answer to your question about psi, but you might try asking in the Drag Racing forum. Folks in that forum have a lot of experience at it, but most don't check out this forum.

Good luck.
