Default Check engine light question/problem

I have a 97 ex with a jdm b16 swap. Header, cat was modified to fit collector. I am getting a check engine light with my obd1 chipped p05 ecu, #41, rear o2 sensor. But with my obd2 p72(yes i know its for a gsr, blah blah), I don’t get any CEL’s. I don’t’ understand why this would happen. With the obd1, its an instant cel. I have beat the fck out of it with the obd2 and no codes.

Any suggestions. The sensor came off a newer working car so its good. this **** is really pissing me off.

well obd1 originally LOOKS for 2 o2 sensors so if your only running one then its gonna freak, while the obd2 only looks for one o2 sensor so it doesnt see a problem. you need to wire your o2 so it splits the signal to both o2 signal inputs on the ECU.
