My Check engine light was on this morning, I grabbed my manual and it said possibly the gas cap being loose.. I checked it, and yes it was loose.
Does anyone know how long it will take for it to go away? and can I reset something. If so, where the heck is the reset button????

You can reset it by pulling the battery, or go by Advanced Auto Parts and they can double check the CEL light (make sure it was just the gas cap) and they can clear it for you

 

To clarify -

You can pull the negative of the terminal off the battery if you're comfortable doing that.

I would recommend going to the Advanced Auto Parts near you have them double check the CEL light and have them clear it.
