My weekend @ button willow.....56K go take a LOOONG walk lol warnign almost entirely non honda!!!
So I went to beautiful downtown Buttonwillow and stayed at an amazing 5 star motel 6….LOFL.I went there specifically for the 3 hour endurance(part of a pit crew for spec miatas at this race) here’s the pics I took, also took a few short vids too that I need to see if they came out decent.
I took most of these pics without the consent of the owner….if an owner would like me to remove a pic of their car I will gladly do so. I di however block out all license plates where applicable so I don’t think there will be any issues.
As my warning stated this thread is almost entirely non-honda.
I took over 100 pics….these are what came out best
Where I went:
To keep it Honda related as possible, here’s the ONLY ONE that was at the event and no it did not participate in anything. My first thought when I saw it was, boring an old *** crx on the knockoffs of quite possibly the ugliest wheels ever(IMO)….then I took a closer look because I noticed the center caps didn’t say rota and there was some raised lettering on the dish of the rim
Just imagine the MPG this beast gets:
On with the “REAL” cars LOL
The one I was primarily responsible for:
I think it has some kind of xmas tcomplex LOL
The “X” is for my bosses co driver who just got his license the day or two before…..it basically means pass me I can’t drive yet LOL.
Something just a little faster
A couple of what I was told were formula atlantic mazdas:
My 2 favorite cars of the event:
And even faster than the Porsche, a couple of rustangs LOL….the all dark purple one(was painted black with a very light coat of some kind of transparent candy purple over it) it was widened 5(yes FIVE) inches right down the middle of the body
. Both are pushing somewhere beyond 700whp(didn’t get to many specifics, for obvious reasons) the purple and neon yellow one is a participant in the SPEED GT series and was piloted by realtime acura driver Brandon Davis.
With as far back as the motor is I’d imagine this car to have an extremely low moment of inertia:
Beautiful dash(unfortunately the pic of the guage side didn’t come out at all):
Widened something like 2.5 or 3” on each side:
There were of course MANY other cars there, but I only felt like putting up IMO what were the best of the buch or that I worked on personally(green SM).

yeah, def. a fun *** weekend, and driving the SMs (even if it's just on the skidpad) is a total blast
