i wana put a new motor in my hatch civic 95 dx , but theres so many option i dont know what to chose from, some one told me about a frankinstein 1.6 head with the crv 2l bloc , but aparently that bloc is weak.... so i duno anymore but i want something that will fit right in , same computer and wiring or not to complecated plz give me your advise

you're not going to be able to run much with the same ECU unless you chip it. You'll be able to run a LS very crappy with that DX computer.

 

What's your actual budget?

If you don't trust your self with wiring about 5 wires then you can pick up an engine half harness from any 92-95 civic ex/si that has vtec already wired into it. I would either go gsr or itr if your budget is high, if not then maybe a b18b ls turbo or ls-V b18b block with a b16 head.

Easiest would be a JDM D15B VTEC.

Swaps right in with stock mounts. The only changes are 2 wires for VTEC and the correct ECU.

You can get the entire motor, tranny, and ecu from Hmotors for less than a grand shipped to your door. 130hp delivered!!

 

5000 u can get a very decent type r swap..to do all the swap.u will have to go through the same thing.removing axles..disconnect all the hoese and wires...shiftlinkage..replace the new mounts...ect...
