I dont know of any street cars using an aftermarket tranny(GForce/Xtrac). Many are using aftermarket gear sets. I know a couple of final drives breaking and the Quaife k series sets were breaking too.

Just so everybody knows.......Liberty Gears has a Warranty's FACEPLATES if you crack one rip it off. EVEN if you are a retard and break it because you dump the clutch before, MAKING sure it is in gear.

This is not directed towards you 94turboeg. Just letting people know that Faceplates are warrantied NO MATTER WHAT.

This is on e the full gear set.

94turboeg, did you break it again? Or are you just making conversation?

Why are your posts concering transmissions always so open ended? Why not just state what happened and ask your real question instead of beating around the bush on all your posts?

I have had so many issues ever since i got this gearset, Probably the worst thing for my car I have ever bought. I got mine in march and ever since then **** has gone downhill..

nopi runner up
idrc palmdale winner
idrc utah winner
nhra vegas winner
nhra indy winner
BOTI vegas winner
Ran my personal best ET
I won the 2007 SFWD championship and sportsman driver of the year.

In 2006 I spent $5000 and most of my time replacing a tranny every week. Now that was a great season. lol

ok, enough of the sarcasm, this gearset is the best investment I have ever made. Not one problem all season. Thanks to Jeromie and C J at liberty for everything.

lol, im just saying that there is nothig wrong with the gearset and if you do have issues it is either bad luck or operator error.

To the OP....

Did you install the gearset yourself?
Using the cuff?
Did Liberty do the shimming or did you?
What trans oil are you using?
What power/torque is being made in 4th? (roughly)

There are many variables and the fact that you don't share any supporting detail is what makes your post worthless....

Pretty much just like Chad said. lol

i broke my final drive(4.9 ats) in my type r tranny which had about 4k on it before i had midnight performance install it. I was about to do a burnout in the street, it was in gear all the way, dropped the clutch at 6 or 7 k and just snapped and grinded, didnt even go anywhere...tore it apart and the final drive was in pieces.
I drove on that final drive for about 2-3k before that happened, using honda mtf in the tranny.....i just hear more and more bad things about ATS.$900 down the drain.... o ya i put down 227whp and 151trq.

What kind of motor mounts are you using...maybe there is to much engine movement, causing it to pop out of gear and breaking the face plates. Give us some more info so we can help you out. Don't beat around the bush because your scared that people are going to flame you....we are here to help. I've had mine for about 6 months now and no problems yet. There has to be something wrong with your set up because those gear sets are very simple in design.

That's fine.... don't answer questions.

If you can't answer them.... then don't ask any.

This is a technical forum. If you can't communicate technically then GTFO!

All the questions that have been asked were to understand the situitation and to help you out.

If you have a problem with a product then say so. Who cares? We can all learn from this. So please share your experiences.
