It's uglier, .1 seconds faster in 0-60, alot more expensive than an Si, and only has ONE more HP. How is it "way better" than an original Si?

The JDM is way better........not the UK

Yep. That car isn't exactly equipped for that track, though... at least not at those speeds. Some better aero, stiffer suspension, stabilizer, and a negative camber could fix that. It needs to be lowered 1", too.

Let me guess... This is your attempt to discredit the "n00b" and save some forum face, right? Well, let me do you a favor... None. Happy? LOL. If you find an error in my post, please don't hesitate to correct me, and maybe I can learn something in the process.

I guess that wing is causing understeer. Maybe it needs an invader body kit.

Jeremy already talked about it being retarded stiff. Stiff suspension does not always equal grip.

Less contact patch helps understeer??? And why should we lower a car that's supposed to be track ready out of the box

I never stated the spoiler was the cause of the understeer, but good aero isn't always achieved with a spoiler alone.

Maybe you can explain to me why the car with the "retarded stiff" suspension is experiencing such a high body lean around those corners?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Less contact patch helps understeer???</TD></TR></TABLE>

When cornering, the weight of the car is distributed to the outside wheels; angular velocity exceeding linear momentum causing "understeer"; at high speeds, a negative camber angle would increase tire contact when cornering.

No car is "ready" for every "track" "out of the box". Lowering the ride height would reduce lift and increase downforce, allowing for an increase of traction for the front wheels and improving understeer.

Nice fancy words. How come you weren't on the Honda UK design team?

Stock Si doesnt have stiff a super suspension. Yet it handles like a dream. You shouldn't have to modify a car with the R badge to get it to handle.

Car for car. USDM Si vs. UK CTR. I bet the Si takes it.

That guy drives me up the freaking wall.

That same EP3 CTR that he acted like he loved in the comparison with the FN2 CTR is the <u>same</u> car that he was <u>bashing</u> last year!

In a comparison with other hot hatches a year or two ago, he picked the VW over other other cars. When a reporter asked him why he did that when the EP3 CTR was faster, quicker, cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure, and more econimical to boot...he said that he wasn't picking the EP3 CTR because it was a Honda.

The guy just doesn't "get" Honda, and he never has.

So I am not sure I care at all what the guy has to say about one CTR vs another CTR!

Just for the record, the FN2 needs a different kind of corner entry. The EP3 is more "fun" to him because the EP3's limits are lower and so the car's more dramatic to drive.
