Do you have a straight thru cat? messing with the O2 sensor telling it to run rich?

Your muffler might be not be clearing the bumper by enough and thats just the start of a melted bumper. See if every now and then with riced out cars here in Colorado.

I don't think it has anything to do with running rich as i have no cat and my O2 down sensor has a little extension away from the test pipe on it connected to the mid pipe. Hell when the wind blows hard enough i can smell my exhaust from inside the car

get a better pic close up so we can see muffler position.

The end of the exhaust is too short and too close to the bumper.

Check your periodic table of elements, CO2 is a gas, not solid.

Your epidermis is showing.

CO2 isnt on the periodic table. Its a compound (one carbon, 2 oxygens) not an element, and frozen CO2 is dry ice.

The black stuff is a carbon deposit and burning bumper paint. If it bugs you that much, you need a paint job and you need to pull the exhaust a little further out.

Either his car took a **** OR he just got done washing it...I don't think it's that your not washing it... B/C it looks nice and clean!

It's more than likely the muffler is too short...I've noticed that many fart cans that aren't made/meant for certain cars leave black funk on the back bumper. My opinion has always been their mufflers are too short and the exhaust lands right on their bumper...

Well if you let it go for to much longer you will have a huge hole in the bumper from where the exhaust hot gases are floating up to your bumper. Although at this point you most likely already need a new bumper as the plastic in that spot is likely bubbled up and messed up. Please fix it, or will all be forced to laugh....

At you....

if your running catless, i suggest also taking a look into your trunk. you might find a pleasant surprise for you there
