how do you check if a MAIN RELAY is bad on an 97 civic?!

how do you check if a MAIN RELAY or a MAIN FUEL RELAY is bad on an 97 civic hatch? do i use a multimeter? poor man's check light? and yes i have searched throughout the forums for this but no results. any help is gladly appreciated!

and my car wont start also, i have spark for sure and fuel for sure. im having a feeling its the relay. cause if it wont spark, dont it mean i got no gas/fuel? so i dont think its my fuel pump. does it also have anything to do with ignition coils etc? any help on that also is appreciated

When a relay is bad the last click is usually missing.
what if you do not hear no clicks. I am having the same problem. I just dont want to go get a new main relay if its not even it. But my main relay would not click at all or nothing will happen to it when I turn the key on.
