I HAVE A 91 ACCORD.....EVERYTIME I DONT USE MY CAR FOR A DAY OR SO WHEN I GO TO TURN IT ON THE BATTERY IS DEAD...RECENTLY SOME ******* WORKED ON THE WIRIN ON MY CAR....(NOT MY IDEA)...DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT CAN BE???? ANY HELP WOULD BE APRECIATED

try unhooking the battery for the night, just pull the neg. terminal off to see if its the actual battery or not, or have it load tested at autozone or the likes.

 

Maybe you just need a new battery. Sounds like you just keep jumping a battery that doesn't have much life left in it. So its not holding a charge until you start it. Altenator keeps you float till you stop for a period of time then it just drains again.

 

ok yeah try unhooking the negative like the other person above me said to narrow down the problem. It may be the battery or the alternator..Worst case would be the dude who worked on your car may have messed something up. The alternator charges your battery while you're driving so it may not be functioning.

it only takes a few minutes to pull the battery, take it up to the parts store and have them test it for dead cells with a load test.

If you place a new battery in your car OR the charge leaves fast on a battery that tested good, it could be your diodes on your alternator that change the d/c to a/c (called rectifier diodes). http://www.familycar.com/Classroom/charging.htm Hope this helps.

Actually, you would want to convert A/C to D/C to recharge the battery and supply the vehicles electrical demands.

Sounds like it could be a parasitic drain on your battery. Not a fun thing to find. I imagine when he was working on wiring he accidentally shorted something out. What wiring was he destroying... i mean working on?

I have a 66 T-Bird and here's what was posted on the T-Bird forum that may be a possible fix to your problem:
"You can check for a power drain in your car by removing the neg terminal from the battery and putting a 12 volt light between the negative terminal of battery and the negative wire. If it lights up, you have a drain somwhere. Start poping fuses out untill the light goes out. When it goes out you have isolated the circuit. Check out what is on that circuit.
"You can also buy a quick battery disconnect from either Auto Zone or Advance auto parts.

 

probably better to just go to a Walmart and buy a brand new battery

if the battery is in good shape and can take a hold a charge then my guess is parasitic drain also.

a easy way to find which accesorie the drain is coming from is to hook up a multi-meter to the battery, wait for the ECU to start automatically shutting off the accessories after the car has been turned off, after about 30-60 minutes you should have almost no electircal reading from the meter, if there is one than theres your proof of a drain, now start pulling fuses one by one until the drain goes away, and theres your problem. now start chasing wires!

 

I also have a 91 Accord. I solved the problem by disconnecting the negative cable on my car battery when I'm done driving it. It's a lot of work but at least my battery isn't dead.
