I recently got my car painted from MAACO (I know i know...let me have it) with SS/CC and it turned out great.

My question is, was it even worth it? The price difference was 400 to get the BC/CC done so, I got the SS/CC combo instead. I am a student on a budget. It cost me 1K for full paint and no bodywork.

Also, would this still be a single stage or is it dual?

so they use ss with extra clearcoat? i guess its still considered ss. damn 1k is alot. i did a bc/cc for someone with bodywork for 750. lets see some pics.

 

Yes they did a SS with extra clearcoat.

I know my front lower grill is painted, but I already have that fixed. I also got my stock turn signals on, but just havent taken new pics yet.

Considering the before pics ( I dont have any) they did a great job . My car before had 4 different shades of silver along with a chipped bumper and pitted hood. So I am happy for what I paid for with 4 year full warranty.

What do you guys think?

 

looks pretty good for 1000 with warranty. any orange peel, overspray, or defects? also did you do the bodywork?

There was some minor orange peel, but I wetsanded that part and its all gone.

As for overspray, there was a little in the fenderwalls. Other than that none.

The masking couldve been a little better. What can you expect from a 1K paint job.

No I did not do the bodywork. I made sure they did all the proper sanding, filling, etc. I felt like I was there everyday. haha
