Default what is this?

well first of all this is my free gauge cluster that i got from a kid. should i put it in my car or no? and second of what is the thing in the second picture?? it goes in the top of the gauge cluster and has two lights in it. but the two wires that come out of the top of it are cut and dont look like they go anywere





's go out to anyone who helps me out haha

well since photobucket sucks *** il just tell you what it is. if you look at the top of the gauge clusters theres a little pannel with two screws holding it on and two light bulbs in it. theres two wires comin out of the top but there cleanly cut. what is this thing and were do the wires go if there suppose to go anywere. ive noticed it before in the gaige cluster thats in my car now but never new what it was called

thats the toplight, i dont think there is a real name for it.
if you use the new cluster you can steal the part (which is cut) from your old cluster. the wires should go to a bulb on the back of the cluster.

its your decision weather or not you want to do this.

k? well thanks grog for actually helpin out. i see now that its night time i went and turned my lights on and it just looks like all that does is light up my cluster a little bit. i was wondering because its not just a strait line on that peice its all jagid looking. but now i realized all it does is just light up the cluster a little more

actualy what this light does is to illuminate the gauge needles, its kinda needed for night driving
