Question about maintaining a high compression motor!
I will soon add some nice high compression pistons to my motor. Roughly around 11.8:1.
What are ways to maintain the motor ... so it will not ping/detonate? Yes, it will be tuned with a Hondata.
I would like my motor to last a VERY long time.
Lets hear some ways to keep it alive.

get a good tuner and keep up on regular maintenance.
dont worry about that 94 octane, its not necessary. Your CR isnt really THAT high.

Avoid bad gas/ shady gas stations
Get a FPR and run it a little rich on hot days. Consider aftermarket injectors and an aftermarket fuel pump .
Beef up the radiator if you also run a/c.
MONITOR OIL TEMPERATURE and Oil level religiously.

I'm not really talking about upgrading parts (i.e. radiator, bigger injecters). I'm talking about maintance and driving habbits.
Like for a turboed Honda -
1. Don't floor for more than 45 seconds - ESPECIALLY in 5th gear.
2. Let it cool down before shutting off the engine.
Those sort of tibets.
What are ways to keep the engine running like a champ?

It all sounded like good info to me. If you really do need bigger injectors or fuel pump, no maintenance in the world is gonna compensate for the lack of those areas.
Change your plugs and oil & filter consistently at regular intervals.
Keep a good eye out for problems. The sooner you catch them and take care of them, the less hassle they'll cause later on.
