crunch noise after putting into drive
Our civic ex sedan is 6 months old/7k miles and a few weeks ago I started noticing a strange noise. After going in reverse, and shifting into drive, when starting to roll forward while straightening out the wheel it makes a noise that sounds like you ran over a paper or plastic cup. I didn't mind it the first few times since I thought I was running over something, but it happens every time. It may do it right after the wheel is straightened out while going in drive for a few seconds. It never does it while driving, only when going from reverse to drive, and starting to roll forward. From inside the car, it sounds like it's coming from the front tire area.
Are you AT? If you are you should probably wait till the car has stopped after reversing before shifting into D. It's not a manual, don't try and drive it like one. Take it back to the dealership for warantee.
Excuse me but, I drove a manual, I don't now, I know how to drive a car, and even IF I did drive it like a manual, it would not cause the problem I'm having now. Thanks for trying to sound tough though.
i have the same problem. I shift slow as expletive also. still makes a noise after evertime i shift from d-r or r-d.
many say its normal, "poping" noises but it pisses me off.
my gf dad just bought himself an 08 and it drives no problem. No shifting noise, nada.

Not necessarily. You have a warranty. I'd take advantage of it if I were you.
