Default Code 14-IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve

I just swapped a D15B into my EG hatch and now my check engine light is on.

Its reading a 14-idle air control valve and at idle my car makes tiny little revs.

I checked the valve, cleaned it and even replaced it. light is still on.
my only guess is that it could be something with the ECU. but the thing is its the same ECU from the motor before and the light never engaged.

could it have something to do with the fact that i am using a USDM ecu on a jdm motor?

any advice?

Did you reset the ECU after you cleaned it?

BTW..Thats problem # 1 right there. you're using the wrong damn ECU for the D15B. You need a P08 to run a D15B VTEC CORRECTLY.

Also. Are you sure you plugged the correct plug into it?? There is another plug you dont use when you swap a D15B in that looks just like the IACV plug.
