Default fabbing up wireharness

I don't know if this belongs here, but where do you guys get your wires, etc

basically where is cheapest and best place to buy all my needs in building up my wire harness? heat shrink wrap? high temp sleeves? etc?

talking about high-end stuff like what motec ultize, not radio shack.

anybody also have tips on building wire harness besides keeping everything neat with shirnk wrap and braiding wires together?

edit:
found some awesome stuff for heat, but no wires, etc

http://www.alliedelec.com this is where I get my cannon plugs and what not.

http://www.cyclewareables.com/...s.htm this is where I get my oem plugs and pins for repinning and what not.

http://www.kayjayco.com/ this a good place to go for what you want to do...but you cant wire an entire race car through them.

http://www.p-r-s.com this is pretty much the endall for anything electrical in your car. if they dont advertise it just call them and they'll get it for you.

All the links syner-G-Racing posted are great the only one I might add is http://www.waytekwire.com.
As far as making everything I use excel and make a spreadsheet keeping track of all pin numbers and wire colors. I also draw up a connector diagram picture and throw that in the spreadsheet. It's alot of work ,but its a really good way to keep track of it all.

if your making just a stock harness. you can just write down the pin out and wire awg, and type of wire. but if you make conversion harness' you have to make a spread sheet to build from. I have a matrix, I have each ecu pinout, then the firewall pinout. I open up that spreadsheet that correspondes to the car Im wiring. then I open up the matrix for the engine. and I either repin the harness or if they pay for the simple harness (which is my harness) I just play connect the dots with someone elses money
