Does anyone else remove their winshield wipers over the summer so they dont rot in the sun? This is if your car isnt garage kept, or sits in a open parking lot all day.

I hate replacing them, they are not cheap ($6) and it seems i always have to replace them right after summer time, im not talking about the blade im talking about the rubber part that gets the water off

i take mines off. but its PITA though if you drive through foggy areas like san francisco and daly city.

$6 IS cheap for some wiperblades.

 

Go to WalMart or any auto parts store and get some TriplEdge or any other silicon blades. They are meant to last the life of your car. That means you shouldn't have to buy another set...

 

I used to take mine off because I think it looks cleaner w/out them, I think I'll do that this summer too

 

depend s on what part of the country u live in..if u ever need d the wipers and forgot u took them off..its alot cheaper replace blades than a windshield

 

 

 

no no. i took off the whole wiper not just the blade.

The car does look cleaner without them, but i sure as hell am not going thorugh winter with them off
