Is there a good way to get to the through-bolt on the alternator? having a very hard time getting at it.

Dude what exactly are you trying to do? Replace the Alternator and P.S. Belts. Well its not that hard. There are screws on both the Alt and the P.S. that will lower them enough to getthe belts on then you can tighten that screw up, to make the belts fit snug.

The "through" bolt that I believe you are talking about is right under and a little to the back of the P/S, I used a 1/2 drive ratchet with a deep well socket to reach it. Plus there is a connector (can't remember what it goes to, it is orange on my car) that you can pull off that makes it a hell of alot easier. Then once you break that bolt loose, then use the adjusting screw to lower the alternator.

Granted this is on a 98 Prelude base, I don't know for sure if it is the same on yours.
