Anyone Installed Carbon Fiber Fenders? (92-95)
I'm looking at installing Carbon Fiber fenders on my 93 CX. I was just wondering has anyone installed these? If so where did you purchase them at? The best price I've found so far has been $799 a pair
They never quite fit right. I bought them because my fenders where really dinged up. But it will never fit as well as the stock fenders. They save a little weight but not much.
I went nuts last year customizing my car. And it's not worth it. I would have been happier just getting it repainted.
I never do any of that custom stuff again.

wells, I have z3's, i guess some people don't like 'em on here, they aren't that bad looking, and they do fit, and are pretty clean -- not like some wild body kit installed with 18" rims.
I also know that fenders are not very heavy, but fiberglass fenders are much lighter than stock ones and they do fit properly.
i would just go with stock or fiberglass fenders (which ever is your type)
and use the extra $$$ for seomthing under the engine bay

i dont know how long fiberglass fenders would last. think about how many little rocks and stuff hit your fenders everyday driving around. but then again i have never had any fiberglass on my car so i really wouldnt know, i have just heard horror stories of people with body kits. now if your going to use your car for the track only thats a horse of a different color.

The body panels on those are all fiberglas, correct?
As far as fenders go:
WHY?
The stock sheet metal doesn't weigh **** really, and for fitment issues and how paint lays on fiberglas, I wouldn't think less than a lb. worth of weight lost is worth it.
Carbon Fiber?
Again fitment issues, and again how much weight will you actually save? Will you paint them? How would paint lay on them?
When I say Vteets' are fiberglas it is different than the cheaply-made aftermarket stuff for Hondas though. Either way I don't know if "how long will the fiberglas last?" is as good of a question as "how will the paint lay on that cheap fiberglas?"
Anyways, if you know me you know I'm all about weight savings, but IMO this mod really doesn't save enough weight to deal with the cost, fitment issues, and compromising the front end of the car in terms of looks for less than a few lbs. of weight lost.

I just purchased a 93' CX which was crashed in the front and needed two front fenders and hood. I ordered my Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood yesterday and was just curious rather or not I should order the fenders or not. The car is in the body shop now getting sprayed flat black primer.
