Waste of money IMO the stock fenders are pretty light already. I dont know what the exact weight is but I know it isn't that heavy. The c/f one's do look pretty hard though.

why would anyone need them in the first place unless your all out grag racing and looking to save some weight?? c/f is light as hell and would probably be atleast 5-10lbs difference but think how nimble the stock fenders are and if you lean on them or something a rock hits them they dent.. c/f would crack and need replacements..

those fender are just cosmetic. i wounder how well they fit. i hate poorly made carbon fiber, but fiber images makes good hoods as far as i have seen.

Ok check it guys...i am no ricer...my bling bling goes as far as my front clear corners (Not that theres anything wrong with a little spice on your ride!) But i got a fat insurance check w/o a deductible and i got roughly 8-900 to spend...i am definitely getting the fiber images cf hood. (I figure 450 or so) I was looking into their fenders and for my 95 coupe they make a rear trunk cap....out of c/f but the only problem with it is it doesn't come with a reverse light cluster so it would force me to get it custom fabricated so i have shyed away from that idea.

I've seen trucks (huge, lifted type trucks) mount foglights on the bottom of their bumper and use those as reverse lights. Might not be that hard to do something like that. Plus you'll really be able to see where you're backing up

ya i know its probably the easiest wiring job ever...i believe the rear trunk on us coupes is almost as heavy as the hood???? Fiberimages's website didnt give a price

Why do people say that CF/FG fenders or fragile or will crack? Have you ever seen one cracked or dinged by a rock? I have friends who have had FG fenders on their trucks for 5+ years, they go off-roading, mudding and do a little sand work. Never have their fenders gotten dinged or cracked they have scratches from running up against rocks and they look pretty beat up but none have needed a replacement. I've seen 2 rangers, 95's go through the same trail one with FG fenders, one with stock, the stock fenders came out the other side dented/crushed the FG fenders came out scratched.

I just wanted to clear that up, if you buy cheap stuff it won't last, but high quality FG/CF will hold up better than the stock counterparts. Also, a note for the fenders, if you want them nearly impervious to dings, coat the underside with herculiner/rhino lining.

rhino lining hey?? sounds interesting. Granted no i will not take my ej coupe on trails i get your point, but the stock fenders ARE pretty light...and i doubt that the cf will make much of a difference...just attract attention! And guess how much fiber images wants for a pair of cf fenders for a 95 ej?? $799 = Kiss my ****

I absolutely agree CF fenders probably aren't the best way to spend your money, and my buddies with the FG fenders have the for wheel clearance/travel not for looks. Just making sure you don't get steered away by bogus info.

the fenders are pretty light, but useless in a car crash. stick with your stock fenders and save yourself 600 dollars and gain that extra 3 ounces.

cf fenders sure look beautiful, but they are a HUGE waste of money if you want any performance out of your car.
there are a hundred other ways to spend the $600-$900 for those fenders, no joke.
if you want a racer look just get fiberglass fenders and a fiberglass hatch or trunkild, I think http://www.mmrusa.com/9295Fiber.htm has a lot of fiberglass bodyparts available.

OEM fenders do NOT have a skeleton either... so they are superlight to begin with. You should buy motor/tranny parts or buy a lighter trunklid or lighter wheels or better tires!

spend that loot on a Limited Slip Diff !!!!!

I pesonally like the way a CF hood looks, but I hate the way the CF fenders look. When you have a body colored bumper on one side, and a body colored door on the other side, combined w/ the non-symmetrical shape of the fenders, it looks IMHO.

actually, some trucks mount the lights down low like that to see the rocks whenever they go offroading at night

I hate to recommend rice, but if you don't want to do bodywork to your cf trunk, you could use the outer altezza lights, and use the corner light (uses a wedge-style light), and wire it up for reverse. I think I have seen a couple import drag racers (Lisa Kubo comes to mind) that use that when they have an aftermarket hatch or trunk.

If you live in SUVland like I do, CF fenders and doors pay for themselves after a few months. Paying $75/panel (up to 3 dings) for paintless dent removal gets expensive really fast.
