How do you put those tiny little keepers into the retainers?
I'm having a hard time =\ it took me a while just to get done with one valve. How have you other guys done it? I wanna get this over with already

I just used my fingers too. Hold the retainer at an angle and just drop it in. I coated the inside of the keepers in petroleum jelly before dropping them in the retainers. Helps them seat on the valve stem when installing.
You do have the retainers in your hand and not in the engine when putting the keepers in right?

what do you mean by that? i just got another valve in! woohoo! I'm ghetto fabbing this so I don't have much room to work with lol. I'll post up pics of what im using to compress later

I would think doin it with the head sitting like it would on the block would make it a lot easier. Gravity will be on ur side and it'll keep you from dropping a few more f-bombs in the process

If u have a friend that can help you out you can just use a box end of a wrench to compress the spring, then use tiny needle nose pliers to seat them in place. there's plenty of methods on here, give em a try and see which one works best for you.
