how to build an ls vtec !!RIGHT!!
Ive got a 93 hatch with a b18b motor, I wanted to know if anyone knows what I need to make my ls/vtec reliable and run a good time. What do I need for the build up?
yep a whole lot of **** rebuild your bottom end high compresion pistions new rods all that good **** and a block gridle(sp) and while your add it build up the head
To build an LS/Vtech, you need the following:
1 V-TECH CORDLESS HANDSET
1 NON V-TECH CORDLESS BASE
2 Oz of JB Weld
1 Girdle (Check your mom's closet)
18" steel braided line
4.5 qts of oil... or lube
1 V-TECH computer (I like to use the JDM 'learn to spell' one)
Screw the steel bradied line into the handset, then the base.
Attach the handset to the base with 2 oz of JB weld
Wrap the combo in the girdle
Pour all the lub over it.
Put it in the engine bay, hook up your computer, attach to Honda-Tech and find the search function... you'll be up and running in no time.

Yeah, sorry bout that... don't use JB weld... use crazy glue...
heh heh... I'm just flaming for fun... you can't just jump into a forum and ask a complicated question like that without doing any research !
F&F quote of the day: "You can't just jump into the ring with Ali just cuz you think you can box !"

use a vtec oil pump,
a main girdle, either mod a itr or gsr one or buy the z10 peice.
get ARP rod bolts and head studs,
new main berings and rod berings,
make sure you get the rotating assy balanced.
have it honed, thats all from the top of my head.

Ok, for the smart *** that I am, I will tell you this. An LSVT is far more involved than just asking what you would need the way you have. It would help if you did research prior to asking and then pose educated questions. Many people would be willing to spew random info and parts that they think is needed, but you shouldn't just rely on info from people's memory of conversions they might not have even seen before. Most informed people are not willing to sit down and type out a wealth of knowledge gained from experience, reading and research in just any post asking for info... .but most people WILL readily answer particular questions.
An example would be: "What length oil line would I need to run from the block to the head ?" or "Is installing a crank girdle absolutely necessary when doing an LSVT and why ?"
