planning to boost my car with vitara pistons and using stock rods w/arp. Can this handle 250-300hp range??

 

I heard that real problem with high pressure is studs.

 

rods will be using arp studs

 

just get eagles, dont cheap out, you could have a 400+ setup.

 

You can have them shot peened and it would handle a lot more than stock rods would and cost less than buying eagles or crower rods.

Might as well get some low compression forged pistons and do it right the first time so that the motor can really take a beating

Nope. d16 rods can handle ~250whp max.

I agree, if you are going through the trouble to put in pistions then do the rods as well. it just makes sense

 

I AGREE SAFE HP NUMBER FOR Z6 RODS ARE AROUND 220
